About the Instructor

Shantel Bryant entered into the medical industy in 2007 and has always had a passion for helping others and serving the community. She graduated from Everest Institute in 2008 with her Medical Assistant Diploma then one month later became a Certified Registered Medical Assistant. She obtained an entry level Medical Assistant position working in a primary care Physician's office where she worked closely with the Physician daily. Over the years (since 2008) she's had the opportunity to teach and train a multitude of Medical Assistant extern students.

In May 2019 tragedy struck. The Physician she worked closely with passed away suddenly without warning and she was forced to make some life changing decisions. June 2019 Shantel opened her very own medical practice (Southern Crescent Medical Center, LLC) where she's the Owner/Practice Administrator. She went from working in a doctor's office to owning her own. She still has the pleasure of welcoming Medical Assistant extern students in her office where she continues to train and teach as she does so passionately.

Shantel saw first hand the lack of training medical assistant students received from the current training programs they were enrolled in and wanted to do something about it. She went on to become a 2x Certified Medical Assistant Instructor to be able to teach the course herself. She wanted to provide students with necessary hands on clinical/administrative training to help students become certified to obtain a career in the medical industry. 

 

Shantel did not stop there. As of Nov 1, 2023 Shantel went on to become a licensed health insurance agent. She saw the need for patients needing affordable healthcare coverage and wanted to do something to help. She took the necessary training and obtained her license in GA to sell affordable individual, family, and commercial health plans for multiple carriers including but not limited to marketplace plans, and etc. And last but not least, as of March 2024, Shantel is now a Certified Lip Technician providing lip filler injections via hyaluron pen to those that desire more voluminous and fuller lips.

Shantel is a medical industry leader and is always looking for ways to expand while encouraging others to do the same. With over 17+ years of experience in the medical industry, here's a few reason why she's considered to be an EXPERT: She specializes in monitoring health and patient care protocols and practices, creating and implementing healthcare services and delivers improvement plans, monitoring daily financial management tasks, accounts receivables and payables, leadership training and development, has trained hundreds of leaders in ALL levels in the healthcare industry, policy development and compliance, medical billing and coding, practice management and administration, employee relations management, human resources, payroll, government bidding/contracting, negotiating contract agreements with payors, credentialing physicians and nurse practitioners with health insurance companies, monitoring day to day activities of the medical office, enrolling patients into affordable health insurance plans, and much more. 

 

Shantel continues to seek opportunities to collaborate with community partners to provide exceptional health care services. Her prayer is that God continues to bless her so that she can be a blessing to other people.
